Ingredients:
1 kg chicken, cut into small pieces.
3 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped.
1 large onion, sliced.
3-4 green chilies, sliced.
1/2 cup vegetable oil.
1 tbsp ginger paste.
1 tbsp garlic paste.
2 tsp cumin seeds.
2 tsp coriander seeds.
1 tsp turmeric powder.
1 tsp red chili powder.
1 tsp garam masala powder.
Salt to taste.
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Heat oil in a karahi or a heavy-bottomed pan. Add cumin seeds and coriander seeds and fry for 10-15 seconds until fragrant.
Add sliced onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger paste and garlic paste and fry for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and green chilies and cook for 5-6 minutes until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
Add chicken pieces and mix well so that the chicken is coated with the masala.
Cover the pan and cook on medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Add garam masala powder and mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
